Narratives & Documenting
Jessica's photos are unedited (no maniulation/digital enhancement) and prefers the authenticity of leaving the images remain untouched, giving the photographic process in itself as a creative field, its due credit. She feels this is vital in a world full of saturated imagery where we often don't know what is real or imagined. However - Jessica's form of editing involves using and manipulating her photographs through the fine art processes of drawing and painting.
Her key themes include documentation, the creation of narrative and use of juxtaposing 'props' of the insect world (both living and preserved) in macro.
